About the doctor

Biography

Dr. Anuj Dhir completed both his residency and fellowship at Emory University, focusing on neurology during his residency and on EMG/neuromuscular during his fellowship. He is a Member of the American Academy of Neurology.

Dr. Dhir is passionate about helping patients understand the nuances of their diagnoses and what is happening in their “fascinatingly complex neurologic system.” He was initially drawn to Synapticure for its commitment to democratizing access to specialized care. Having practiced medicine internationally in resource-limited settings (Tanzania, Indian Himalayas), access to adequate healthcare is a challenge he cares about deeply, and so he welcomes the opportunity to support patients across the country access the care they deserve.

Overall Experience

Dr. Dhir takes time to actually listen. Then makes appropriate recommendations and even agrees with the patient on the best treatment course. I don't think I've ever had a doctor listen to what I had to say and then agrees that what I said makes sense and should be tried. He does and that seems to be a rare quality these days.

Dr. Dhir is very professional and down-to-earth.

Great Dr who really took his time to listen.

Dr. Dhir took the time to explain things clearly and was a good listener.

Dr. Dhir was awesome! Appreciate him listening to all we have gone through. He answered all questions. Just amazed at all the time he took with us! Thank you!

I feel very comfortable that he will give me well informed advice and he will be a good counter balance to my in-person Neurologist.

Dr Dhir is what I, as an ALS patient, hope for in a neurologist. He was thorough in his questions of my medical history/background. He is a good listener, has a kind and friendly demeanor, and easy to relate to. I appreciate his ALS knowledge and clear desire to do what is best for me as far as treatment / medications.

Dr. Dhir seems very interested in what I have to say, and has a very good personality and ""bedside manner"". He follows through on agreed upon requests very expediently. He has a very good understanding of where I'm at in my disease progression and is sympathetic to issues. He's very professional and sincere and doesn't seem to be in a hurry and is willing to listen to any concerns I may have. He certainly does NOT have the stereotypical doctor complex of being in a rush and spending little time with his patients

Very professional and empathetic. I highly recommend the Synapticure system and its people.

He was very caring and wasn't in a hurry at all. I never felt rushed and he was very thoughtful and thorough. I didn't know why I might need a second neurologist but he gave me a few ideas my neurologist didn't mention. Synapticure and it's neurologists focus more on resources and connections that will help the pals.
