Lewy Body Dementia / Parkinson’s Disease Dementia

Lewy body dementia is the most common form of dementia following Alzheimer’s, and rit esults in both cognitive and movement challenges. Our movement disorder specialists are experts in helping patients and caregivers navigate the challenges of living with Lewy body dementia, including medication management, and work closely with our care coordination, speech & language therapy, and behavioral health teams so you are fully supported through physical, cognitive, and emotional changes.

PSP/CBD/MSA & Parkinson’s Plus Syndromes

The presence of symptoms not typical of Parkinson's disease such as ataxia, some types of dystonia, early falling, autonomic dysfunction, eye movement abnormalities, and specific types of behavior require an expert eye and ear to diagnose. Our movement disorders team uniquely understands the nuances that separate these disorders from Parkinson's disease, and is prepared to help.

Progressive Supranuclear Palsy

PSP is a complex condition best managed by a specialized interdisciplinary care team. Synapticure patients receive comprehensive care from our care coordination and neurology teams working hand-in-hand. We offer targeted support, from helping to manage medications to prescribing and locating durable medical equipment, connecting you with a speech & language pathologist, and helping you find physical and occupational therapists in your area.

Multiple System Atrophy

Patients and caregivers living with MSA are supported by Synapticure’s interdisciplinary care team. Our specialized neurologists help manage symptoms and medications, and, if necessary, help you connect with an in-person team to test autonomic functions. Our speech-language pathologists support swallowing and speech hurdles, and your care coordinator will work to identify local physical and occupational therapists.

Corticobasal Degeneration

Our team is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to patients and caregivers living with CBD. We offer interventions for symptom management, including referrals for treatment of dystonia, access to speech & language pathologists, and help finding in-home physical and occupational therapy support.
