Is There a Cure for Parkinson's Disease?

There is no cure for Parkinson’s disease at present, however, there are ways to delay progression and improve symptoms through medication, exercise and physical activity, PT/OT/speech therapy, and more.  Researchers are also looking for disease-modifying medications or devices.

The Michael J. Fox Foundation is an advisor to Synapticure and is the largest, non-profit funder of Parkinson's research in the world dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease through an aggressively funded global research program. Synapticure partners with a variety of Parkinson’s organizations to advance research and improve the lives of those impacted by Parkinson’s. Synapticure also has a multidisciplinary team that has supported individuals and caregivers living with Parkinson’s for decades led by expert movement disorders specialists, providing education on accessing clinical trails and investigational therapies.
