Last week the FDA approved AMX0035, now known as Relyvrio. This medication has been approved for all people living with a diagnosis of ALS. Amylyx has said that Relyvrio will be available in 4-6 weeks and that the process to get approved may take 4-6 weeks. So we want to share what we know with you and make sure you know our doctors are ready to help you get access as quickly as possible.

So, what is the timeline for what happens next?

The great news is that the enrollment forms are able to be filled out right now! They can be filled out online or a paper form can be printed and faxed to the Amylyx Care Team (ACT). ACT is in an internal team for Relyvrio that works directly with you, your provider and your insurance to obtain access for you.

The enrollment forms are 2 pages. First is a section for your information, including your diagnosis date, most recent treatment(s) and insurance info. Next, there are also other sections which we, the providers, fill out including the prescription itself. After that form is complete, it is sent back to ACT (Amylyx Care Team).

From there, someone from the team will contact you to work on approval and other insurance matters.  Be aware, it will take anywhere from 4-6 weeks for the medication to become available to you and during this time, the team will be working on this approval process with you.

How much will Relyvrio cost me?

Many of you may have read about the high cost of this medication.  Please keep in mind that there will still be negotiations and we hope that this will not be the final cost.

There are also several programs that ACT will offer including a copay program and an interim access program for patients with commercial insurance that could bring your copay down to $0.  For those who have Medicare and/or Medicaid, ACT will work with you toward affordable access to the medication.

For our current Synapticure/CareND patients who see our doctors, we will work with you throughout this process.  If you are not a Synapticure/CareND patient who sees our doctors, we would love to care for you today. To do so, just click here.

So now we get to work! Contact your Synpaticure/CareND neurologist and see if Relyvrio is the best treatment choice for you in addition to your current regimen.

All our best,
The Synapticure/CareND Team
